Season Autumn Extra Episode vol. 02 Preview

 

Disclaimer:

Most of my translations are paraphrasing instead of accurate/exact translation. Why?

- I am still a beginner in Japanese, so I haven't learned certain words and expressions before. This includes slang and idioms. 

- Some phrases just get conveyed better when paraphrased.

- Feel free to tell me if I made any mistake in my translation!

Scene 1

Banri:

Heh, it’s a win!

Juza:

It’s mine, right?

Banri:

It’s mine!

Juza:

Banri:

Aaaaah??

Juza:

Sakyo:
Seriously? This is not a place for a fight!

Omi:

Come on, it’s time for our curtain call.

Taichi:

Let’s go, Ban-chan! Juza-san!

Juza & Banri:

(agrees)

Scene 2

Omi:

We really should start cleaning right now or we'll never get it done.

Taichi:

Most of the costumes are packed...so it looks like we are only left with a few props.

Omi:

Let's hurry up since we still got our closing party after this.

Taichi:

Got it! We are even keeping the other troupe waiting for us at the dorm.

Omi:

We shouldn't keep them waiting since they've been preparing for our (Autumn Troupe's) sake.

Taichi:

Come to think of it, I wonder what the other three is doing? Don't tell me... they are slacking off??!! (The next sentence is kind of confusing for me, but I guess Taichi said that the other three secretly left them there and they have already gone to the closing party?) 2

Omi:

Well, if I'm not mistaken...Juza and Banri went to buy some tools to help out with the stage. While Sakyo-san .... he should be in the lobby.

Scene 3

Sakyo:

That should be all of the questionnaire forms. Even so, I wonder if we'll get to conduct this many surveys again... It's as if...huh...hmph. This degree of success brings me back to the first generation, even though I haven't seen it enough back then. 3

Scene 4

Banri:

What are you doing, jerk?

Juza:

Haaaah??

Banri:

Just because the play is over, you shouldn't slow me down!

Juza:

That should be my line!

Banri:

Why should it be your line? Aren't you the one who were dismantling things wrongly just now?

Juza:

I have got your approval.

Banri:

That is what you called asking for approval? Don't show me your arrogant face!

Juza:

You approved of it so easily, so you are the one at fault here.

Banri:

Haaah? Are you trying to mess around with me, jerk?

Juza:

Aaaah???

Taichi:

There is no end to their fights!

Omi:

I understand it's just like the two of them...but...

Sakyo:

Oi, you idiots.

Banri:

Tch! What is the meaning of this?

Juza:

Handcuffs??! 4

Banri:

This must be a lie right? Again? Are we really going through this again?

Juza:

Settsu! It's your fault, again!

Banri:

Ahhhhh? Regarding this, shouldn't it originally be your fault???

Juza:

Where in the world is it my fault, jerk?

Banri:

Everything, you jerk!

Omi:

Come on now! Have you both ever spare a glance at Sakyo-san's face? You both have seen it right? The both of you should understand it now, right?/The both of you should have learnt your lesson, right? You better break this off immediately./You better cut it out immediately.

Taichi:

What should we do about those two being handcuffed together?

Aren't we supposed to have our closing party later?

Banri:

Wait a sec!

So you are telling me, I will be stuck with this guy until we reached our dorm?

Juza:

Is this for real...

Taichi:

The Veludo Way around this time is pretty crowded...

We might get photographed...

Worst come to worst, we might even get reported!

Banri:

That really will create a buzz later. 5

Omi:

If we stall for some time, it will get less crowded but it will still be a big problem if the two leads couldn't get to the closing party in time.

Juza:

Sakyo-san...today is really not the time to...

Banri:

We will not fight anymore.

Besides, I am sick of fighting with this guy.

Juza:

Huh? But, the one's who's always starting the fight is-

Sakyo:

That's enough!

Where the heck did your cooperative self on stage disappear to?

Just because the closing night is over, doesn't mean it's the end for the two of you!

Banri:

Tch.

Juza:

...Understood.

Sakyo:

But still, I'll make an exception tonight.

I'll let you guys be free.

Banri:

For real? I'm saved.

Sakyo:

The key is...

Banri:

Oi!!!! Wait a sec. What we got here? Hmmm??? Uwah? 6

(1) If you noticed, Banri and Juza actually used "Azashita" instead of the standard "arigatou gozaimashita". Obviously, it's slang or in Malay, we call it bahasa slanga. Nothing's complicated but I'm just going to put an article that I think will be useful for future me to look back. (click for article) [back to juza in scene 1]

(3) I tried to directly translate the sentence... but I don't think the sentence actually made any sense? Maybe Sakyo was trying to say that the scene reminded him of the first gen's popularity but they are still not yet at that level???[back to scene 4]

(5) Soooo our banri said 「さすがにシャーレンなねえ」sasuga ni sharen nane. Well at least, that's what the automated caption on the video stated. But I think I accidentally searched for シャリン sharin that led me to this article (click). So, I tried to search what シャーレン sharen means instead and this is what I got (click). 

But, I think シャリン sharin is more accurate compared to シャーレン sharen. 

This is getting long, but according to the first article, one user relates シャリン to a sound of a bell. For some weird reason, it reminded me of the constant notifications' sound on our phone. 

So after thinking for a while, I assumed that Banri was trying to say that the fact that they are walking in handcuffs will actually garner a lot of attention and Veludo Way will be noisy with people taking their pictures and there will be a lot of notifications coming online... 

Hence, I translated this phrase to "That really will create a buzz later." (also think that this phrase will fit their conversation in Scene 4)

....Well, that just shows how many things got lost in translation and how many thoughts were actually put into translating a single phrase... Oh yeah, my translation for this phrase might be inaccurate too, but it is still a learning experience for me. [back to omi in scene 4]
